Packing and shipping precision parts without damage

Manufacturing notes

Precision parts fail incoming inspection when finishes are scratched in transit. Use part-on-part separation, VCI bags for ferrous metals when needed, and rigid trays for thin-walled components.

Label revisions clearly on the package and on the documents inside the box to avoid mixing lots.

For international shipments, include HS-oriented descriptions only if your compliance team requires them—otherwise keep paperwork aligned with the commercial invoice actually used.

Photograph first-article packaging approval once, then standardize so production batches ship consistently.
